Besides that, he worked at Trenton High School for the whole school year of 1989 and all of 1990. He started working there in 1989. He worked there until the school year ended in 1990. Then, in 1991, Pittman got his first taste of success when Hutchinson Community College hired him to coach the offensive line. Before that, he had been unsuccessful in everything he had tried. This event helped Pittman get started on his way to becoming a successful person. This was the start of a long and very successful career as a coach.
